Hi there!
Any Australian Nurses out there who have been successful in gaining their registration in The States?
I do not have any experience nor did I complete any specific courses in Obstetrics or Paediatrics, so I am trying to work out how to go about this. Can I complete units at a University?
Any help or advice is appreciated!!

Hi guys, I'm in the same situation too. Just applied with the CGFNS then will apply with the Colorado Board of Nursing so I'll let you know if I get through or not. I did my EEN's through TAFE then my RN degree and made sure to include pracs in maternity and paediatrics. I just don't know if that will be enough! Let me know how you guys go too!
Thanks! Looking forward to hearing from you! And I'll do the same too.

How did you go with the CO board of nursing? How many hours of theory and clinical maternity and peds did you manage to get at your school? I'm in a BN programme in NZ and want to know how many hours I need to obtain in each category...interested in working in Colorado in the future...any advice/experience of yours would be very helpful for me
