Hi,

I'm an American citizen trained in Australia, wishing to work in Colorado. I've tried to navigate the minefield of information out there regarding transfer of quals, and I'm no further ahead. As I have US citizenship I'm not sure that it's worth using an agency? If anyone has any advice as to where I should start I would be eternally grateful.

Cheers, Alex.

I would contact the Colorado BRN immediately. They've been very good at returning my emails promptly. They also give you a thorough explanation on what is needed. Good Luck

No need for agencies. You can definitely do this on your own. As posted above, go to the Colorado BON (board of nursing) and start from there. It will tell you where to send your transcripts, etc for academic evaluation.

Go to the state BON and check requirements for international trained. Training outside the US even if a USC mean you will still be treated as a International trained and have to meet their requirements
