Attention TWU Pre-Nursing Students

Published

I am finishing up prereqs at TWU in Denton in the fall and applying for Fall 2012 admission into the Dallas program. I will be taking APII, Bacteriology, Developmental Psychology, and Spanish. I am looking to form a study group this summer who would like to review/ prepare for AP and/or bacteriology. I live in Lewisville, but am flexible to meeting in the Denton/Dallas area. Also, I am a certified teacher with experience in teaching science, study skills, and math so I believe I would be a valuable asset to a study group. Contact me through the forum if you are interested.

In addition, I figure that anyone who is applying to the nursing program for Fall 2012 at TWU could use this thread to communicate.

Thanks!

Hi Alyssa33-

I currently live in Houston, TX and have an MBA and am considering TWU for nursing, how does getting your pre-reqs @ TWU work in the sense of financial aid? Since your are taking a few science classes towards the nursing program, do you receive financial aid assistance?

I am will be looking at appyling for Fall 2012 as well.

Thank you so much!!

Denise

Denise,

As long as you take at least 6 hours, you are considered part time and qualify for federal loans. The only bad thing is that if you already have a degree you don't qualify for grants, no matter your income. Go to http://www.fafsa.gov to fill out your paperwork for federal loans. Be sure that you use the .gov ab. Not the .com, because it's free. You'll need your tax return. I suggest doing this as soon as possible, as all your prereqs for the nursing program have to be completed by February 1st, 2012 to apply for fall 2012 admission to the nursing program.

Good Luck!

I'm trying to apply for the Fall 2012, TWU is one of my choices, I'll be a transfer from TCC... I only have Stats left and I'm taking it this fall there also...
