I am considering moving to Portland. I am curious about nursing in this area. Any info would help. I am a pacemaker/defib nurse and have strong cardiac background. Wondering what are good hospitals, if anyone knows what is avail for device clinics. What is pay averages, cert pay, shift diff, etc.

Don't know about pay, but I went to school in OR. Portland Adventist, OHSU, and Providence Portland are all great hospitals!

There's also a Portland in Texas! Also on the (south) coast. Too funny!

I have worked for Adventist, Providence and Legacy systems....( just need OHSU & kaiser!)
I think providence offers the best benefits package,
But feel Legacy treats their employees better, but other than that they are all good places to work any other complaints would be at unit/department level

Currently visiting from California. So what's the typical salary ranges in the city? Is the 60k/yr average from indeed typical and statistically accurate? You are all anonymous beings, go ahead and share.
Starting with no experience the job ads show around $33 for the hospitals, LTC around $24-26 for no experience
Dang it the rent and property in nob hill is cosmic. In comparable to West LA and San Diego. Which hospitals are unionized may I ask?
I believe Providence systems and OHSU are union. Legacy their nurses are not union
