Bring plenty of copies of your resume -with sufficient contact information for potential employers to call you back & job availability date. Keep your nice clean (uncreased & wrinkle-free) copies in a folder-type portfolio. Have some type of organizer to collect employer/recruiter information. During your discussion with each recruiter, jot down relevant notes on the back of the recruiter business cards (positions open, best time to call, etc) or handout - and put those materials in your folder.

There's no need to 'dress up' very much for a career fair - business casual is usually OK. Just make sure that you are dressed in 'workplace' rather than Saturday night attire.

Wishing you major job MOJO!!!

Agree with the above. Also, you should visit the facilities website and familiarize yourself with their mission and vision statement, as well as nursing philosophy. If they state that their philosophy is based upon a particularly nursing theorist you might want to familiarize yourself with her work as well.

And don’t forget to send thank you/follow up notes to all of the managers that you speak with.

Good luck!

excellent tips.. thank you

Here's a tip -- DON'T BRING YOUR PARENTS! I was at a job fair (representing my organization, not as a job-seeker) last year, and one young nurse was there with her father. It was actually the father who was going around introducing them both to people and doing all the talking. Needless to say, that did not give anyone a positive impression of her.
