I read a posting that the NY State Board of Nursing does not permit schools to use ATI test scores as part of a student's grade, and/or does not permit schools to require certain ATI scores to pass a class.
Does anyone know about this or know how I can get more information on this? I checked the BON website but didn't see anything on this subject.
EDIT: Our teachers answered the question so I thought I'd post to benefit anyone else interested in the info. They say by NYS law they cannot make the exams worth more than 10% of our grade AND they cannot require a passing ATI score to pass the class or graduate.

If you find out, please post a reply. At a school in Northern KY, leverage like this could help. We are having difficulty with being held accountable to ATI standards without ATI being a part of the lecture series. If you don't pass ATI, you fail the term; doesn't matter what your attendance, quiz and exam grades, presentation grades, or clinical performance was like. AND, you don't get your money back, because it is too late in the term to withdraw.
