Hi everyone! I am going to take this exam soon and looking I feel a bit overwhelmed with the amount of content. For those of you who already took it, can you give any advice/pointers on what you did to pass this test? We need to get a Level 2 or better. I have the ATI Med Surg book that comes with it and I have been reading that, but I am not sure if that is enough.

I'll have the proctored ATI Med Surg exam this coming fall. For previous proctored exams (fundamentals, maternal newborn, mental health, pharmacology) for which (thanks to Jesus) I attained level 3, I used the ATI books. In addition, I would do the practice A and B exams prior to reviewing the books, then review the book (typically reading the entire book). I would then follow up with another practice A and B run. After that run, I would do the focused review from the results tab to fine tune what I needed to know. I would also try to do NCLEX-RN med surg questions (UWorld, The Point, Nurse Labs).

Kayexalate..know the generic
low/high potassium diet and how it contradicts with renal failure
hysterectomy
coleslaw
stroke
genital herpes
PUD
EKG
lastly infection control like meningitis, TB (remember the sputum test).
Good luck
Coleslaw? I got everything else, but coleslaw?
There were at least 3 questions related to potassium and the answers always point to coleslaw. I used elimination method to answer those questions and I picked coleslaw and after the exam, I looked it up and i realized that it is rich in potassium. Dont forget how to don PPE too lol. Many people got that wrong
