I finally got a job offer!! After months of tears, rejection, endless applications and open houses! I had applied for this position in April at Children's Natl Medical Center in DC, but was told there were no more spaces. I checked the site again about 3 weeks ago, and still nothing posted for the next new grad program. One of the seniors at my school was starting to apply, and she told me to check again on the site because she friend is a nurse there and told her about new postings. I hopped on it, and applied that night...two days later I got called to interview...interviewed last Thursday and got the offer today. I was so shocked that I told her that I needed time to think. I had been going on interviews and shadows at an ob-gyn office, and was scheduled to go back this upcoming Thursday to shadow again. She had scared me the last time I shadowed because she asked if I had any other offers I was considering because they didn't want to go through and decide they wanted me for me to reject them, and at the time I didn't so I said no. However, I got the call later that day to interview for Children's. This is my DREAM job!! If I do get an offer at the ob-gyn place, I will just have to let her down and pray she isn't upset, but a peds nurse is where I wanna be. I am still crying and shouting thank you to God. It has been a long, hard journey and I am so glad I started thinking positive. Congrats to those who also got offers, and KEEP TRYING for those who have not. Your time will come! Just be persistent, and do whatever you have to do to hold you down until YOUR job comes! I had to take a PT retail position so pay my bills. GOOD LUCK!

Congrats! And don't worry about the ob place being upset with you. You should just follow your heart.
