I work in a detox/recovery residential tx center. I have been giving the task of developing a monthly menu for our residential clients. My boss mention something about it needs to follow state guidelines.

Does anyone know where I might be able to find out what the guidelines are for California. I did a Google search but I keep coming up with childcare center and eating disorder center guidelines. Is it something different for adult residential treatment?

Consult a registered dietician? As this seems to be more inline with the scope of a RD than an RN to ensure compliance and proper diet

This is what I suggested but they don't want to pay for the knowledge of a RD... They want that to be another hat I wear.... But that's a different story...

Not surprised. But isn't really nursing scope...what about calling the state agency that oversees your facility for menu guidance?
