Nursing Students School Programs

Hello!

So I'm currently on the waiting list for Maricopa Community College and I just heard about Aspen University. Has anyone heard of them or even attending their BSN program? I am trying to do my research and gather information on the University, but really can't find much, can anyone help?

Yes I am in the pre-licensure BSN. I hear if you do well in clinicals, hospitals may pick you for your last round of clinicals and hire you. I’m new to the field. Is it if you perform well within clinicals you succeed?  I appreciate all your guidance by the way, you’ve been very helpful

That's generally how it works, when you stuffed and if you do a good job, the facility that you precept at will generally just offer you a job. And they consider your preceptorship part of your training even though you'll still get training on top of that. So I mean it's a good idea to looking to do your best and it just want you to know and go from there. It's not necessarily if you perform well, it's if you understand the information. And if you don't understand the information, didn't ask for help. There are always going to be people who are willing to help you. Yw. You can message me if you need further help any time :)

Mike, I have been doing research on Aspen university.The school has national accredited,  CCNE, distance learning online accredited.It is not a regional accredited;however, Aspen has nursing degree to DNP.If you want to pursuit NP, Aspen has sister school with NP Program and it will accept your credits from Aspen.The difference between regional and national is regional only accept transfer credits from regional accredited school.As a nurse, I find out that Aspen truly teach nursing that applied to work place.I look at dozen nursing school for RN- BSN and RN-MSN, I decided to choose Aspen.I do not need more degree to earn money but I love learning and also Aspen is suitable to my budget. I will attend Aspen, in a process to have my transcript sent to Aspen.

The reviews are generally positive from students. I am not really sure how well recieved a degree from Aspen is. In Canada, if you are a nurse with a masters, it is generally expected that you have done it at some offshore US or Australian school online and no one really cares about the quality or reputation of the school. They just care that you have the piece of paper that says you have a masters.

I am not sure about how well received it would be in the USA and for a BSN (which would be your foundational degree to nursing practice, unlike a masters which is just supplementary and more a novelty for nurses, IMO).

I ended up going to a Canadian school after all. It was cheaper but required more of a time investment than Aspen would have. I think in general it would be a good choice. They were helpful for me when I was on the fence about applying and they also have an enticing tuition payment program where you just make installment payments instead of paying the full amount in one lump sum. It is also accredited. Therefore, I think it would be a safe choice!

My 2 cents.

Is the MSN - Health education recognized in Canada? Or is any of the masters of nursing programs recognized in Canada?

Im not sure how it works since the university is based in the US

Hi! did you finish the program? Im trying to figure out how the 60 question exit exam is? I get super anxious about exams.

how is the exit exam? That seems to be the only thing stopping me from enrolling.
