Ascension (Seton/Dell Childrens) Residency October 2020

Hi, I'm a new grad BSN and I applied to a couple positions through Ascension at Dell Children's & Seton. I figured I'd start a thread for those that did. I haven't heard anything except for from one pedi department that said I wasn't chose for interviews, I'm wondering if anyone else has heard about interviews or knows when we will hear?

I also heard that I wasn't chosen for one of the peds departments, but other than that no other news. I for some reason can't log in to see my applications to see if there's an application status anywhere, it just keeps bringing me back to the log in page everytime.

I applied for 2 fellowship positions, but both still say under review when I check application status. Has anyone heard if the cohorts are actually starting in October? Some of the positions weren’t even posted until sept 19. If that is the case, they must be zooming pretty quick through the interview process.

I was wondering this exact thing because I graduate in December and haven't seen anything for Spring 2021 and was wondering if they are behind on hiring or aren't planning to hire. I keep seeing positions for October and am so confused.

I was told by a recruiter that they would meet to discuss February cohort in early October and would be posting positions in December. Everything looks like it has been pushed back timeline wise

I was told they'd be discussing this Friday. But wow, that is such a long time from now... that stresses me out lmao

they did meet Friday! I talked to the recruiter again and she said, "most likely we'll start posting positions later this month or first of next". so that's some progress I guess!!

there is a residency virtual event on Nov 17! I think they just posted it on their facebook and their residency website page when you click on the "next open house link"

Thank you so much!! I just signed up for the event. Do you happen to know any information about St Davids? I haven't seen any updates from them either..

I have heard nothing! I’m sure it’ll be a similar time frame of November/December

Perhaps someone can start a thread for the Winter cohort for us December grads!  Does anyone know what Seton hospitals are doing nurse residency programs?
