I applied for NICU and L&D and I have not heard anything at this point as well. However, according to the email they sent out our profile stay active until April 13, 2025. So I guess that if we haven't hear back from them by April 13th it is an automatic no. I have my LVN experience for 3 years doing pediatric home health and school based LVN. I was thinking the same thing too that my experience would have hurt  my application.  In regarding to applying for specific departments, the website will allow you to choose two departments when you are filling out the application form.

It is totally a big bummers . I been applying to NICU new grad since May 2024 and still got denied by many hospital. Sometime I cannot help but thinking about doing my NICU residency in other state next year. I was wondering if having only ADN and Not BSN would have hurt my application as well.

Congratulations to your job offer and the higher pay !  Did you got an offer for ICU position ?

I have also been applying since last year for NICU and L&D... even got my NRP cert... I honestly don't know why they may have disqualified me, I did clinicals there twice.
And regarding the out-of-state comment, there does seem to be more opportunities out there!

But hopefully, we get a call if they're holding on to our apps until then...

I also went of my way to get NRP so that I would be more marketable, but I guess it does not really make a different at this point LOL. I am so sorry that to heart you did your clinical there twice and still got disqualified. At this point I no longer know of what else can we do to be more qualify for the NICU and L&D. My friend said she was in Band 1 and still got turn down for Medsurg. I am planning to do pediatric private duty nursing for the time being and hopefully I can start soon. Let us stay hopeful for now please:)

I just spoke to Jenn Walker she said all candidates have already been contacted .  Those who haven't were not accepted 😕

They've been contacted for every unit already? 😕

She said that but today I got an email placing me in band 3 whatever that means.  And email said I may be selected for interview 🤷🏻‍♀️

I am so happy for you that you were placed in Band 3! I got email from them on January 13th saying that I was placed in band 4 and that I may be selected for the interview as well.  I am still waiting for the the call 😓

According to my cousin and her co-worker who work in the postpartum unit, they said that the numbers represent the priority. So band 1 is the top, or priority... then 2 and 3 and 4 and so on.... So now it is a waiting game and we have to wait if we will get contact directly to the units we applied too.

My professor also told me that they also add extra five points to the final test score (the questionnaire that we did online that is). For example:

1) If you have bachelor degree you get extra five points

2) If you have an experience working in an acute setting you get another extra five points

3) If your were a student nurse you or did your clinical there you get another extra five points.

4) If your resume have the keywords or the format that looking for you get another extra five points.

I am a little  confuse though. One of my friend has  was placed in band 1, she applied to ICU but got a called to interview for medsurg instead. She went for the in person. interview and got denied. I also know that some people got hired and they only have theirs ADN. I just really wish they told us why we are disqualified so that we will be better prepare for the next time. But please let us stay hopeful for now.
