Armstrong State University

Hello everyone,

I currently attend Savannah Tech doing as many pereqs as I can due to credits heing cheaper. My goal is within Spring of 18' to transfer to Armstrong State. I plan on applying for the RN program which I hear is very competitive. I currently have a gpa of 3.6. I know the Armstrong website states that the minimum gpa for applying is a 3.0, but I know the higher the gpa, the better of chance I will have being accepted. My question is, what was your gpa when you were accepted into the program? I am trying to get a range idea of what they are accepting in to the program so I know where I ultimately need to be. Thank you in advance for any insight and help.

I know this was posted a while ago but I am currently in the Nursing program at Armstrong. I started Spring of 2016 and I had a 3.45 GPA and made an 87 on my TEAS (I'm pretty sure they only accept HESI A2 now though, however I hear the HESI is easier). Some of my classmates had lower GPA's than I did and were admitted. I didn't have a problem getting in then but had I applied for this coming fall, I wouldn't have gotten in. I know people who applied for Fall '17 that had 3.6 GPA's that didn't get in. Made over 90% on the HESI and were rejected. They had over 400 applicants (more than they've ever had before) and accepted 80. It may be due to the merger with GA Southern so I would keep your GPA up if you're planning on applying anytime in the near future.

do you happen to know if any of them had around a 3.1 and got in for spring? i know fall is much harder to get into.
