This question is for students new and old. Anyone using a pda? If so, what kind? Was it helpful? Do you recommend it?

Yes i have one i have the Palm tungston E2 and i really do think it helped in clinical for looking up drugs when you couldnt bring your books. some instructors wouldnt let you carry everything with you.

Specializes in My first yr. as a LVN!.

I graduated in Nov. 07 and my NCLEX results should be here anyday now .. I went out and bout the Palm Tungsten E2 so far I got to read and see all the things it has to offer, but with a lot of researching and thinking this will prob. be the one. I will feel much more comfortable with this in my pocket instead of scratch paper and pen to write calculations, look up meds for clarification (instead of whipping out the drug book) and I will feel more confident and organized ... now I just have to research for another day to find all the hot software that I want on it... I downloaded some freebies so far, but would love to find a package deal with RXs, side effects, IV drips etc etc w/out spending $150! In time I will get there... and by the time my NCLEX results get here and I get a job, I will be ready to roll ... def. I thin everyone in nursing should own one...its worth spending 200-600 bucks rather than losing your license that you worked so hard for ...
