I'm applying in the fall to NWACC and the UofA for nursing RN. I have some questions. Please help.
What school did you attend?
What was your GPA when you got accepted.
For the UofA do you need all of the classes to apply? The only class I wont have is Statistics. But im trying to fit it in my schedule.
How rigorous was the program. I need to work at least part time.
Did you study for the HESI?
What school did you attend? I JUST GOT ACCEPTED TO THE ACCELERATED PROGRAM AT NWACC. I WILL START THIS MAY 2018.
What was your GPA when you got accepted. I HAVE A 4.0 GPA... AND YES, I THINK YOU SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST HAVE A 3.5 GPA TO BE SURE THAT YOU CAN GET IN. THE PROGRAM IS VERY COMPETITIVE! I HAVE ANOTHER FRIEND WHO GOT IN AND WE BOTH HAVE 4.0 GPA WHEN WE APPLIED.
For the UofA do you need all of the classes to apply? The only class I won't have is Statistics. But in trying to fit it into my schedule. I HAVE ANOTHER CLASSMATE WHO TOLD ME THAT MICROBIOLOGY CLASS IN UofA IS A JOKE (LOL). I AM NOT SURE IF THAT WAS TRUE BUT MICRO IN NWACC WAS SOOOO DIFFICULT. I WOULD STILL RECOMMEND YOU TO TAKE IN NWACC JUST BECAUSE IT'S WAY CHEAPER. IF YOU DON'T GET IN, THERE IS ALSO ANOTHER OPTION. YOU CAN ALWAYS TRY CROWDER COLLEGE.
How rigorous was the program? I need to work at least part-time. I TALKED TO FORMER STUDENTS AND THEY SAID IT WAS RIGOROUS. DURING THE PROGRAM INTERVIEW, I WAS TOLD THAT THE CLINICALS WILL BE (ALMOST) EVERY DAY. I PLAN TO WORK PART-TIME TOO SO WE WILL SEE IF IT IS ACTUALLY DOABLE.
Did you study for the HESI? YESSSSSSS! THE HESIA2 IN NWACC WAS SOOOO HARD ESPECIALLY THE A&P PART. THE ONLY REASON WHY I MADE AN "A" ON THAT THE A&P PART WAS BECAUSE I DOWNLOADED ALL HESIA2 APP (PAY FOR THE PREMIUM, $12) AND I JUST TOOK A&P II PRIOR TO THAT TEST. THEY WILL ONLY INTERVIEW THE TOP 50 ON HESIA2 SO TRY TO GET AN AVERAGE SCORE OF 85 OR HIGHER JUST TO BE SURE THAT THEY'LL CALL YOU FOR AN INTERVIEW. I HAVE ANOTHER FRIEND WHO AVERAGED 82 ON HESIA2 AND SHE DIDN'T GET TO BE INTERVIEWED.
