What r ur Plans before CEP starts?

U.S.A. Arizona

Hello everyone!

I was just wondering what are some students plans before starting the summer CEP with their designated University/College.

Besides doing all the required work for nursing school (background check, doctor check up, financial aid),I have a variety of things I want to do. My plan so far has been to relax. I made it into the program. Then take a trip to see family in another state, cause with everything I have heard it might be long time before seeing them again. I also want to get in the habit of working out, so going into nursing school it will be second nature to workout. In mid April, I will start reviewing Physiology and Pathophysiology. The final thing, I want to accomplish is to quit my nicotine habit. It's a terrible habit, but I want to head into nursing school nicotine free.

I hope everyone enjoys their time they have before entering into nursing school.

Good luck with quitting smoking. I used to smoke and you'll feel better after the cravings pass. I'd get some stuff out of your system for sure before going in the program. My wife and myself are going on a cruise in April, but we booked it before we knew if I got accepted or not. We are also going to Disneyland with her family in May. I also want to get back into eating healthier food wise. I weighed about 400lbs last year and have gotten down to 290. I want to get to my goal weight by the end of the first year ideally.

Looking forward to this experience!

Hi! My plans are to relax as much as possible before school starts. I'm going to be traveling to Chicago in May for a wedding and possibly going to D.C. over summer too. That's a great idea to start reviewing some patho and physiology, I will try and do the same. I also bought a book on dosage calculations so I can get a head start on that. Enjoy your time off before nursing school and best of luck to you! :)

Good for you focusing on your health! My plans are much the same, relax, spend time with family & take a short vacation with the family & if I can muster the motivation, dust off my A&P book & quick review some of the vital system functions...we'll see about that last one though;) Like you, I'm going to start trying to work on a good exercise regime, not only for the health benefit, but I feel it'll be a beneficial stress reliever for when we are in the thick of school.
