I am hoping someone might have some insight on how submitting a provisional application during the week of October 23 - 27, 2006 differs from submitting the provisional application after the 27th of October. The application says that submitted applications made during the week of the 23rd - 27th will receive random number assignments, while applications received after the 27th will receive actual date and time stamps. I am finishing my prereq's this fall and want to be placed into nursing school as fast as I can. Is anyone familiar with how the wait list works, and what is the difference between the random number assignment and time/date stamp when it comes to your placement on the waiting list. Thanks! I am also interested in an acclerated program. Does anyone know which of the campuses are offering acclerated programs in 2007?

The important thing to remember is that if you submit your application during the "provisional" week you will be placed on the list ahead of anyone who applies after that week. Don't get hung up on the random number bit. They use random numbers because people were camping out in school parking lots the weekend before provisional registration began which can be quite dangerous (Phoenix PD were cuffing someone in the GWCC parking lots right next to my car because of a gun possession!). So - for everyone who applies during that week, they basically do a computer scramble so that if you are there at 7 am on Monday it is the same as if you applied at 4:00 pm on a Friday. Is it perfect - no. But it works. Either way - you are ahead of the folks who apply after that.
Talk to the advisors about accelerated programs. They are constantly changing and those people have the most up-to-date information.
