Med-Surg and PCU nurse:patient ratio

Hey everyone! Thinking of moving to the Az area. I have 2 years experience as an RN and was wondering what the nurse to patient ratio for Med-surg and PCU units?

I just got hired on a pcu unit in AZ near Phoenix, the ratio is about 1:6, a little steep from what I'm used to in nursing school. It varies daily.

Wow. That's a lot. Especially for a PCU. Do you guys have telemetry patients or fresh stroke patients or post op spinals or ventric patients?
