Maricopa Waiting List / Placement / Timestamps 2010+

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Hey everyone, I wanted to start a place for people to post and repost about waitlist times, placement runs, and their timestamps.

It is very hard searching for all the information and maybe people will access this thread and keep it updated with information so we all can get some idea on where we stand in line for Maricopa Nursing Placement.

As for me I have a

6/11/10 8:01:32 Timestamp. The placement just ran on March 6th,2012 and I was not placed. On the application website it says that the placement did NOT reach the June timestamps. This will mark 5 semesters that I was not placed (was expecting a 3 semester wait)

I am curious how far the placement ran. If people that were placed during the last placement run (3/6/12) come across this thread and would be willing to post their timestamp and what school choice number (1 through 5) they were placed in that would give an indicator how far away it is.

With almost 2500 people still on the waiting list it looks like it can be a 4-5 year wait for people just now getting on it. :(

Look forward to chatting with all of you and good luck.

Do you know if these clinical sites consider students in the Maricopa-ASU RN-BSN Pathway Program as "BSN seeking students" or only CEP students?

I'm not sure. Are you already in school? If so, I wouldn't worry, it's really more an issue for those looking to get into school, although, I do hear that some of the CEP students ahead of me have heard from their sites that they will only take BSN students.

Nixiequinn,

What was your GPA and HESI that got you into the CEP program? I am applying in May and I am curious as to what the average scores are!

TIA!

HESI scores were above 85% and most gpa's were above 3.2. You have to have good grades in the courses that have asterisks as those are the ones they really look at. For Spring 2013, the class I am in, there were not enough students to fill all the CEP slots, but that will be changing as people realize they need to do this program in order to get into school faster and to get a job after graduation.

Good luck!

I have a 3.89 GPA and my HESI is only an 83%. I got a 92% on the math but only an 80% on the reading. I went into the test having a lot on my mind and I'm sure that hurt my score. I am debating if I should retake it to improve my score or if my high GPA will help off set that. I also have a previous degree and I know you get a point or two for that.

I am not already in nursing school. My time stamp is 06/10/2011 at 8:02:28 A.M. So I still have a long wait ahead of me.

I have a friend with a time stamp in November or December of 2010 and she still hasn't heard anything.

"Jay_dee90 & rocknaz thanks for the post. I too have a 12/10 stamp and have been patiently waiting. Its been an emotional rollercoaster ride. Crossing everything I got we get placed fall 2013."

From reading this thread I can tell its going to be a long wait . IF I'm very lucky, I may get placed for Spring of 2014 (2.7 year wait), however it is more likely that i get placed for Fall of 2014 (3.2 year wait).

I am pretty sure they changed the requirements and you need a 85% or higher on the English composite so you should retake the Hesi for that. With your GPA I don't think you will have any problem getting in.

Yes they did change the Reading to an 85%, however since I applied to the Maricopa nursing pool before they changed it I am set. I was told by the advisor that since I'm already in the pool the new scores are only for those new to applying. So....I would be retaking the HESI to just get a better score for the CEP program.

Tommy J I have a 2/11/2011 08:00 timestamp! Really hope I get in for Fall 2013!!
