Maricopa County -GCU MSN CEP

U.S.A. Arizona

Has anyone applied or plans to apply for the Maricopa County Community Colleges and Grand Canyon University ADN bridge to MSN CEP program? I am looking into this program and thought it would be nice to link up with people that are kind of in the same boat as me.

Hi! I have plans to apply for the CEP program with GCU. I'm not doing the bridge program but plan to get my associates at the same time as my MSN. I am currently on the Maricopa waitlist and heard the wait has significantly decreased. I still have to take Patho so I am really hoping I am not placed into Maricopa before I am ready for the CEP program. Do you know when they make placement for Fall? Is it this month?

I'm currently in the program, message me if you have any question!

Good luck! I'd love to do this and have my MSN but I don't have a prior bachelors degree :( bummer!

How is the program going? Do you think it's a better route than doing a BSN? Which area of study did you pick?

I am interested in this as well. I have a previous bachelors degree from ASU and would like to know if this is an advantage over the RN to BSN program. How long does it take, etc.

Hello @iheartpinkiepie, are you able to message me? Mus messaging is disabled because I haven't had enough posts on the forum. I have some questions for you, if you don't mind. Thanks!

Sorry all, I have been super busy with the program. It's a lot of work! You don't pick your specialty until after you graduate. It's a very demanding program, but I am really enjoying it :)

The first part of the program takes about 7 months, it's all online. I feel that there are advantages and disadvantages to getting the BSN instead of the MSN, but I feel that in the long run the MSN will be more beneficial.

I'm glad that you are enjoying the program! That is good to hear! You mentioned that the first part of the program is online? I was given a sample of what to expect as far as courses and location I can expect to take them at, but I am showing both campus and online courses from just about the get go. Is this not the case? I just want to know what to expect. Are you currently working as well?
