Grrr - MCCDNP Wait list

Hi all!

So the MCCDNP site says "Spring capacities choice change options should become available late in September."

Well, I called today to see when they are expecting to release the choice options because it's already getting pretty late in September - they told me late OCTOBER! :banghead:

Pushing back the date and picking 2 months before nursing school starts seems a little unprepared and unorganized to me.

I think all of us October 07 people should make a thread tomorrow. I'll start one as a "roll call" and we can keep track of where we all are.

Congrats to all of you have gotten in. Hoping that you who are waiting for tomorrow will have your dream come true. A little bit of info for you. Those students who do not pass block 1, have to get back in line (at the end) of the nursing students. They have to wait in that long line like you guys did. There were 10 in my class that did not make it, then there were those who decided to go to accelerated. So there may be more spots as mid December roll around. Block 2 finals are 16-17, so there may be room for more as a Christmas present.

I started taking my pre-req's in 2006, just when I was starting my last one MCCDNP changed them all :banghead: I busted my butt to get good grades and get all of my pre-req's done only to have a few hundred people get in line in front of me while I finished a class I needed to apply, according to new changes. In the meantime over 1 1/2 years I took 4 classes I no longer needed to apply. I am applying for the Banner fellows program for the Fall '09 cohort and continuing to take the rest of the classes I need to apply to ASU. PLanning to pick up Patho in the spring to keep the info fresh in my mind.

Hey everyone...I had a question about the spots still open right now. Does anyone know what "in list" means? Are those hospital employee spots??

Yes, I believe 'In_List' means that particular program is for the hospital employees.

I noticed more spots opening up again for wednesdays placement.

Anyone on October 22, 2007 about 8:00am? If you are you'll probably get in on wednesday. Im still unsure about the hospital seats being given up to the public If no one takes them. I asked an advisor and they wouldn't really give me a straight answer. Anyone have any ideas??

Mine is 10/22/07 at 08:03:02 AM. Crossing my fingers, but not holding my breath. All of the sites that I have on my placement list have openings.

Hey Boogsdad....

You might possibly get placed tomorrow...If you look at the placement white board, with hospital seats still open and now the more deferrals, there are still 90 seats open. If I remember correctly for this semester I remember checking placements too and they filled all there seats till there was only about 5 or 6 left. Good Luck tomorrow! I hope we all still have a chance on getting in:nurse:

I don't understand how that all works... can you explain this to me? Hospital seats? I don't want to get my hopes up, but it would make my day!!!

Well I'm not really sure what happens to the hospital partnership seats If none of there employees fill them. I have asked an advisor about getting in at the last minute and she told me that she couldn't exactly tell If I should start getting ready for immunizations...etc. because of seats that "may or may not open up".

As for the hospital parntership seats opeing up..I was just stating what I remembered happening for this semester. I was actually hoping that someone who knew more about this subject could elaborate.

I guess will see tomorrow how much closer we are to possibly getting in. I'm just gonna stay positive and hope for the best for all of us waiting.:D

I was an employee of sun health when i applied at the boswell school. my advisor said that if there were seats left over from the employee pool, they put it back in the public pool so that it gets filled. and thats how it goes for all the mccdnp with partnerships from hospitals.
