If you are interested in apartment living, go to http://www.rent.com and search for local apts near the hospital you are employed by.

Depending on where you are coming from, fuel/groceries/taxes/rent/recreation could seem high or moderate.

It is all relative.

If you are a traveler, some companies will house you... but be careful, you often end up in less than "classy" neighborhoods.

Good Luck to you.

Some travel comps will give you up to 1500 pm rent allowance if you find your own rental and your perm addi is 50miles or more from the hospital you work at .

State does not pay rent for nurses in any state. As mentioned above, you may be thinking of travel nursing assignments, but they require an RN for most agencies as well as two years of experience. The rent is paid by the agency.........
