ASU Post-Baccalaureate BSN 2017 - Welcome

U.S.A. Arizona

Hey everyone,

I am a current post-bacc student at ASU. I wanted to start a thread for all of you who are applying for the 2017 class. Last year we had amazing support from the 2015 class, so we wanted to carry on that tradition and provide you all with the same support system. Feel free to use this thread to ask questions and seek advice. Many of my classmates will be on here answering your questions as well!

Good luck to you all!

I did version A last night and got an 82% and my actual exam is tomorrow:no:

ashleydeb - Her class is the course that starts on 8/29 at Rio. The last 2 digits of the class number are 65. I am pretty sure that all of the courses are set up exactly the same. My sister also took the course with a different teacher and did the same grade-wise as I did.

I just did my TEAS yesterday and my score was not good. My advancement point is 1.75. So im really worried right now. Since i have noticed that asu cut off point was 1.76 for couple last cycles. Also, could we retake TEAS exam?

tntng89- When we were applying last year, you couldn't retake the TEAS unless you scored below a certain score (I think it was a 68), but you had to have a month gap in between testings. You should contact your advisor about that though as they may have changed the policy. I applied to both the post-bacc and the traditional program as the traditional program cut off has traditionally been lower. I think it was in the 1.6s for the spring cohort last year.

Also, it it is important to know that the cut off could be anywhere. It's all dependent on the application pool (how many people apply, what their scores are, etc.). As long as you meet all the requirements to apply, you're in the running.

My understanding is you can only take the teas once per application cycle unless you get below whatever the pp said, 68 or 58 or something. But I wouldn't count yourself out with that adv score. It's right in the range of the cutoff and I believe several people got in off the wait list the last couple years with a score right around there. I think there's definitely hope!

Does anyone know exactly what the program average means on our teas score report? Does that mean the average score of all people taking the teas for asu nursing program this cycle?

That's a good question, I wondered the same. I feel like its probably the average of people who were trying to get into the program? I don't know though. How did you do?

Yeah I saw the average was only a 70.6! I got an 88% so I'm pretty happy with that! Though, I'm still super nervous and really wish we knew how many applicants there were in this application cycle!

Congrats, that's a good score! I wish I knew too, it's so nerve-wracking to not know.

horsegirl7575 - An 88% is an awesome score, congratulations! As far as the "Program Mean" I looked at my TEAS results and it showed a 70.6% as well. I am not 100% sure but I believe that, that percentage is for the ASU Program as a whole and not specifically the Post-Baccalaureate Program. With that being said, and 88% is a great score!

Seeing as how applications are due today, good luck to everyone applying!
