Congratulations! Doesn't that acceptance feel great? Savor it, because you have a long hard road ahead - but you already know that. I'm so pleased for you.

Excellent! Best wishes to you!
Thanks guys! Yes it does feel good and I am aware that I will have bad days and wonder why I did this to myself.
But from the beginning of this process, I have struggled with self doubt. I ignore it now. It still creeps into my mind but I recognize it for what it is...just a bad tape recording that I have hardwired into my brain. It just means that my neuropathways need to be reprogrammed. And I am in the process of that now...proving to myself that I can do anything I set my mind to.

Yes, the bad days will come and you will wonder what you were thinking. Stay focused and determined. The bad days go away. And toss the self doubt out! Your IN! Thats a part of the battle!
You are moving? Do you have children?

To answer a question up a few posts, I am moving to attend Wolford. I'm from Idaho and I will be leaving my family of a husband and two grown children for 28 months to do this thing. My kids each live on their own and my husband has a lot of frequent flyer miles.
My kids are both really good. They are excited for me and want to come and visit while I'm there. My husband is supportive and knows that the separation will be long and hard even with the trips out to see me and my trips home. But I can't see any other way to do it. He has to work. We can't afford for him retire right now. He's built up a great career with a big company here.
Something is bothering me though. I have not received a letter from Wolford yet. I was invited to attend during the interview and I have not heard another word. ICURN24, do you live in the eastern US? Maybe the letter is going to take awhile to reach the middle of Idaho. I'm hoping they didn't forget that they invited me because I already turned down two schools. My husband says I'm obessing to worry about it! He doesn't understand how hard this whole thing is.
I read a post on this site once that the person said she kept expecting the school to call and say "just kidding, we made a mistake. You are not coming here". That's how I feel!
As far as financing goes, at the beginning of our interview session, the director said that the school (in it's new form) has not yet graduated it's first class and therefore lacks a certain designation from the federal gov't. Bottom line is, the way I understand it, the director told us we would have to finance our own education without the help of federal student loans. I don't know if this means that you can't get any loan at all though. Aren't there private banks that loan money to students? I haven't really looked into it yet.
I am located in florida. I had my interview on the first rotation. Your letter should come soon. As far as finances, since the school does not have title IV federal funding we are unable to obtain both federal and private education loans. I have called just about every bank the only option is to get a personal loan. Most of these loans are limited to $20,000-25,000 and you have to start repayment upon withdrawl. I have also spoke with TERI loans (a private lender), they said the school has to apply for these loans. These loans are $45,000/yr (max total $130,000). I not sure if the school has applied and if they did...whats the status of these loans? If the school gets approved for TERI loans we can obtian private education loans. if you got any info, I would love to hear it. Hope to see you in OCT.

i got a Terri loan when i was in school. I simply went to their website and applied online. I was still working on the weekends when i was in NA school so I did not need a co-signer. I do remember them waiting for paperwork from my school to confirm my enrollment.
