OK so I'm trying to find an ADN program in Texas that does not have a waiting list. Is there such thing or do I just have to wait after I complete my pre reqs? Are there any good ADN programs out here in Texas ??I live in killeen texas and the only college we have here is Central Texas College and it looks like we have a year and a half waiting list and I really don't want to wait that long. Anyways if you completed your RN in Texas what school did you attend?????Thank you very much for your help.

I got my BSN at a school in the North Texas area, which does have a school in Houston. But it is a four year university program, not ADN. There are many good ADN programs in this region, but they are very competitive. I don't know about waiting lists, though. But this is not great for you geographically, though, unless you want to move.
Surely in an area as large as Houston, which has an extensive and renown medical community, there are a good number of nursing programs.

The ADN program at CTC doesn't have waiting list. I was told that top 50 applicants for that semester get accepted.

Take a look at this listing of all TX nursing schools & NCLEX results for the past 5 years. This will answer a couple of your questions. As to 'waiting lists'??? Some schools do not maintain these at all. If you don't get in, you have to re-apply for the next class. So, your admission chances will depend upon the other people who are applying at the same time. You could get lucky and apply at the same time as a group that doesn't include a lot of star students.
Keep in mind that acute care (hospital) jobs for ADN grads are rapidly drying up throughout the state. In major metro areas (DFW, Houston, Austin...) most hospitals are only hiring BSN grads.
