Hi everyone,
I'm a Filipino and U.S. immigrant. I took my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and graduated in the Philippines last
2010. I currently do not have a Philippine nursing license.
1. is it an obligatory requirement to obtain a Philippine nursing license as part of Credentials Evaluation Service (CES) report in applying for Virginia NCLEX-RN ?
2. Am i still required to take the CGFNS English proficiency exam despite i am already a U.S. immigrant ?
Thanks ahead and please share a website or source of information

If the state requires a English exam then it is required, if the state doesn't require English exam then it isn't required.
If NLE is required by the state then it is required, doesn't matter if you have already got immigrant visa
Requirements will be on either the state website or CGFNS website

I have the same scenario. I am a green card holder and the VA BON says it's mandatory. However, I saw on cgfns webiste there are exemptions in taking the english proficiency exam one is :textbook and instruction language was in English. Our textbooks and instruction language are English. So I'm really confused.... What do you think??
Each BON have their own requirements so just because one says English is exempt doesn't mean another will do the same
Thanks! VA BON states that it's really mandatory. But I have another question I don't know what will I take between the two IELTS or TOEFL. Which is better? :)
