You won't need to take NCLEX again. You can apply to Florida BON for endorsement of your license. You can get info here :
www.doh.state.fl.us/mqaservices
its says something to the extent of proving i worked as a RN for 2-3 years. Im doomed.
Here you go, this might help :

1. rn/lpn licensure by endorsement - apply for licensure by endorsement if you meet the educational and licensure requirements for endorsement in florida as stated in rule 64b9-3.008, f.a.c., and you currently hold an active license in another state or territory of the united states pursuant to f.s. 464.009(1)(a). a. you will be required to show the qualifications you met at the time of your original licensure. or b. show evidence that you have actively practiced nursing in another state, jurisdiction, or territory of the u.s. for 2 of the preceding 3 years without having your license acted against by the licensing authority of any jurisdiction. if florida law would have required you to take the licensure examination had you applied in florida at that time, the examination in the original state must have been equivalent to or more stringent than that given in florida.

i take it this means that as long as i can prove i took the nclex i am good?
I believe so, yes. Wouldn't hurt to give them a call, ask them to confirm this, if you're worried.
If it helps put your mind to rest, I've been approved for a Florida RN license and I've never practised in any other US State.
Thanks. i hope i get in no probs. The only thing im worried about is that i am a recent new graduate and just taken the nclex.

You'll need to pay $35 to nursys.org and submit your info to them regarding what school you attended, when you graduated and when you took your test. Nursys provides the verification to member states. The, go to here and download the application, mark the areas that indicate you are applying for a licensure by endorsement, sign, enclose your check/M.O. and mail it back. You'll get your license in about a month.

You will not have to take the NCLEX over. Be prepared to submit to a criminal background check, a fingerprint check and a check for more then $200. And be prepared for a bit of a wait. And your fingerprints must be of the inked type :)

While that may be true for nurse practitioners, you won't need to submit fingerprits for a "regular" RN licensure.
The fingerprints are required for licenses with prescriptive privileges.

Sorry but I am not a NP yet. And when I renewed my license, in 1996 I had to submit fingerprints. And when I reapplied for re-endorsement, several months ago, I again had to submit to fingerprints, another criminal background check and pay more then $200. And I think this is outrageous, the $200 plus fee. I held a vaild Florida license which I chose not to renew, for more then 15 years. They are forcing me to resubmit my board scores, something they all ready have on file, and pay all the eztra money. Florida may not have a state income tax, like NYS, but they make it up in other ways. Fingerprints are required for any professional nurse who wish a license, NP or just RN.
