Per the request of janina08 I've started the April NCLEX takers support group. When do you take it? What are you using to study? Would anyone like to review any of the systems/meds that he/she feels weakest on? Let's keep each other in our prayers and good thoughts as we go through one of the biggest experiences of our lives. :)
Hello all. I just took my test on Monday, April 7th at 8am! I was a complete basket case for the last 48 hours waiting for my results... but I checked the quick resuts this morning and it said "pass"! I am soooo relieved!! I have been an emotional wreck the past few months in anticipation of this test so I am extremely happy and can now really focus on other things like my first baby due in July!My test cut of at 77/78 in just under 2 hours (I'm a slow test taker). I was really surprised and didn't know what to think when it cut off at such an odd number right after the minimum 75. I had a lot of priority/delegation q's, 3-4 calculation, a number of SATA, quite a bit of infection/isolation precaution q's, and a number of drugs (most of which I was uncertain about).
My advice is to think the questions through, take your time, and give it your best EDUCATED guess.
Congratulations to all that have passed sooo far!!! And, good luck to those of you waiting to take it. Just try your best and try not to stress too much (I know, easier said than done.)
congratulations!!!! i did 75 q's in a little over 2 hours. the first time i took the test i did 265 in 2 1/2 hours. talk about fast test taking. lol. anyway, im still waiting because im in CA where our BON is just super. so pray for me everyone!!

For Encephalitis Which Precaution Should We Use??is It Droplet.....
Encephalitis is an inflammation of the brain parenchyma, and it's most often caused by a virus and therefore, I don't think it requires droplet precautions. Instead, I think it requires standard or contact because there are different kinds of encephalitis, but none (I don't think) that is contracted by droplet.
