Approx timelines from UK to the US

Trying hard to work out a timeline so I can work out a realistic time for selling our house (don't want to sell too early as have 3 dogs and trouble finding renting willing to take dogs) plus giving notice at work as I have to give 3 months.

I know will only be approx but if RN's from the UK who have already arrived in the US put down their timescale plus the ones already in the process still in the UK would be a big help and may also help those beginning their process

When i signed with OGP I had to pay as soon as I passed Nclex but the money wasnt sent for months. I believe it was around 5 months later. Glad you dont have to pay up straight away now as it gives you a bit more time to save up lol. When you are paying for 4 it works out ++++$'s

Kay Not on that they waited months after paying to send the money. Hopefully lawyer is making payments as soon as she gets the request as hospital is paying it for me and we have already paid her for Danny

i was asked to send the money just after the nclex too which was june last year, i actually paid it in november but the visa bill wasnt paid until may 2006

they really hassled me for the money

i can understand them wanting everything in place, but having the money 10 months in advance was pushing it lol

I know imagine the interest that could have be earn't I think thye may have been burnt in the past where nurses havent raised the money when needed so they probably need it in place to ensure it is paid.

:lol2: You know I had to send more money just before my interview because the US embassy increased the cost-I was most put out:lol2:

Here goes....although it does depend on how good your company is, how long paperwork sits on their desks before it goes elsewhere, and how long it takes to get from you to London to USA:

Signed up March 04 (delays with the charming CES people at CGFNS meant that we didn't sit NCLEX until...)

Sat NCLEX April 05

I140 process began in Aug 05

I140 through on 1st March 06

Fee bills requested April 06 - paid straight away and eventually sorted by July 06 due to family details being not supplied by recruitment company

Packet 3 got to me 2nd Aug 06

Packet 3 returned by courier to USA office in 2 days (well worth £15 we spent as it missed out London office and avoided a further 2 week delay).

Packet 3 arrived at NVC on 11th August. Told that there is a 6 to 8 week turn around, although hoping that it'll be quicker.

It's been a disaster from start to nearly finish.

Cheers

it takes that long for it all to go through that the fees have usually increased by the time you get to the interview!!!

OG it should be quicker than 6-8 weeks, mine took 3 so hopefully....
