Hello!

I graduated with my ADN in May, 2017 in Southern California and licensed the following August. Immediately began my BSN and completed October of 2018. I have been having the HARDEST time getting a job. I am at a year and a half of applying over and over to hundreds of jobs and not even getting an interview and its extremely discouraging. I am considering out of state but not sure how to go about it. The job listings say that you must have an RN license from that state (I have mine in CA) so I am not sure if they will even consider me without it?

Any tips and advice would be appreciated! Just a lost new grad nurse over here.

The expectation is that you have the state license on your first day of work at the new job. They do not expect you to have it when you apply, only that you qualify for their state license.
