Hi all, I'm a month shy from graduating (December 5, 2020) and hoping to take my NCLEX-PN not too long after (December 2020). I know in the hospital settings, I've had friends that were near the end of their ADN/BSN programs applying to hospitals before graduating and taking the NCLEX-RN.
Does this apply to SNFs and Post-Hospital Rehab Facilities for LPNs? Or would DONs and HR of these facilities wouldn't even bother looking at the application if the applicant doesn't have their license yet.
Thanks!

This varies greatly by region and employer. In some markets, hospital representatives will come to your school and try to recruit you. You don't even have to go to them. In other cases, an application can't be submitted without a license number.
There are middle of the road situations, too. I was hired before I had a license, but not given a start date until after I passed NCLEX.
If new graduates in your state can work as graduate nurses before passing NCLEX, you might have a slightly better shot at finding employment early.
