Applying to Fresno State's Nursing Program

Published

Hello all,

I am quite upset at this point in the semester. I currently have a B in my chemistry class and there is only a slight chance that I will be able to bring it up to an A. I currently have a 4.0 GPA, but I have a few more pre-reqs to complete. Do you think having one B in my pre-reqs will hurt my chance of acceptance? I still have about a year to go in school (I am currently a freshman). I am trying to start studying for the ATI, I know it is early but im aiming for a 85-92 on the TEAS. If I got a decent score on the TEAS, do you think that one B will kill my chances? I started crying the other day second guessing my major, I'm being open minded and thinking of back up plans, but psychiatric nursing is something I strive for and am passionate about :(

Not me, but someone I know got into Fall 2018 with 1 B in chemistry and the rest of her pre reqs As. As far as the TEAS I am pretty sure they don’t look at it as long as you score past a 75.

I would recommend applying to as many programs as you can to increase your chances (FCC, WHCL, COS, Merced etc, along with other CSUs) if you can afford to possibly relocate or commute to the program.

Dont give up, keep on going!
