Application for Licensure by NCLEX Pass Endorsement - CA to VT

Published

Hello, everyone!

I am planning to endorse my NCLEX pass result from CA to VT since CA-BRN will be destroying or abandoning my licensure application files october this year coz there's still no way I could provide them with a SSN. I have some queries regarding the endorsement:

1. What will I do first? (CGFNS-CES, request from CA_BRN a copy of my NCLEX-RN Candidate Report with Photo or send the filled-up Application forms to VT?)

2. How will I request from CA-BRN a copy of my NCLEX-RN Candidate report with Photo? Through mail? If so, what should be stated in the letter of request? Can anyone give me a format? Should CA-BRN send it directly to VT or to me first then i'll be the one to send it to VT? And how much will I pay CA-BRN for this?

3. It's written in the VT application form: 2x2 Recent Photo-Paste Here and then below it says - Passport sized photo of head and shoulders taken within the last 6 months. What picture will I really be attaching? 2x2 photo or passport sized photo?

4. It's also stated that "If you do not have a Social Security number, you must provide your passport information instead." Does this mean that I also need to have my passport photocopied and have it certified as true and correct or filling up the part in the application form intended for my passport information will suffice?

5. It's also stated in section D of the application form, "If yes, please attach copies of your NCLEX-RN result" - What result will I be sending to them? The letter from CA-BRN informing me that I passed the NCLEX-RN exam and should have my SSN sent to them or it's pertaining to the NCLEX-RN Candidate Report with Photo from CA-BRN?

6. It's also stated that "If it has been 2 years or more since you last took the NCLEX-RN you will also need to complete an NCLEX review course and submit the Certificate of Completion and Final Overall Scores to our office for review." - I took my NCLEX-RN 2 years and 3 months ago so I'd probably be having this review course. The problem is I don't know where can I find this particular NCLEX review course they're requiring. Do any of you have the slightest idea?

7. It's also stated in the ENCLOSURES: "Enclose a photocopy of your current RN license showing expiration date." Is it pertaining to a US license or my license in my country? If it's a US license, well then, I can't provide them with any since I don't have a hard copy of my US license yet.

8. Where will I be sending the Verification of Licensure and Verification of Education or Transcripts? To VT or to CGFNS?

Thanks for the reply!:-D

Lots of your questions can be answered by looking at the CES handbook on CGFNS website

Also contact the boards of nursing as they are your best sources.

I also have the same problem. California to NY. Dont know where to start and what to do. So sad, which form should be submitted, licensed verification? Endorsement by licensure?????!!! If i only new that there will be a change for license because of the SSS!!!!!

Is it financially advisable to to have endorsement from CABON to other state or just let CABON destroy files then re submit when SSN is available. I mean comparing two options, Which one is easier and economical? Thanks.. I would appreciate for any comments.. Thanks

If it is guaranteed that CA will reactivate your file "if" you will eventually provide them with a ss# then that would probably be financially beneficial to you. Everything is so rediculously expensive here. If you choose to transfer your results to Vermont and obtain a license that at this time you have no use for then go to both the BRN websites for CA & VT, and read the section titled international applicants. I've read both websites and it's pretty clear as crystal what a person needs to do for licensure. The hard part is just waiting because sometimes a person feels their application has been forgotten when it's a longggggggggggggggggggggggg wait. Good Luck

Thanks 4 d advice
