Hi! I'm preparing to take my AORN /periop 101 final exam & was wondering if anyone had tips, ideas, a study guide to study from, or perhaps even practice questions...any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Personally, I reviewed the online modules and questions that were provided there, with particular emphasis on the module summary at the end. The information contained in those summaries was extremely valuable for the test. We also had a review session as a group. I felt like the test was quite straightforward really. Good luck!

Did you find any information that was helpful? The exam was difficult, questions were posed differently than in the modules, confusing info, etc. My friend and I both failed by 3 points, and we didn't even take it at same time/study together, but we are both New Grads. So maybe that has something to do with it.
I have to take it again.
If you found anything helpful, let me know.
I have not taken my test yet... however I have a coworker that failed it the first time too, and she said to know the modules inside & out. Good luck! Let me know if you have any tips...

Hey, I am also a new grad and I am about to take my final exam for periop 101. Do you have any suggestions on how to study now that you have taken it again? I am reviewing the module quizzes and rereading all the red words. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just took the AORN PeriOp 101 final exam yesterday. There were 115 questions. Question were just like the ones in the 27 modules - multiple choice, matching and select all that apply questions. My best advice is to not rush through the 27 modules. Take your time and know the material. Take notes as you go along. The summaries for each module are very helpful and contained answers to questions verbatim. The test is hard. You are allowed 4 hours and given 3 opportunities to pass. Trust me you want to pass the first time out. Good luck!
