Anyone took Excelsior exams before admission?

Published

Did anyone take the Excelsior exams in anticipation before being admitted? I just got my LPN license and I feel like the nursing concept 1 content may still be very fresh in memory, so I am thinking of taking the exam. I have not been admitted yet, what do you all think?

Thanks

Why not? Go for it!

There are a couple of advantages to being enrolled (access to practice exams and myEC resources like the discussion groups), but it can certainly be done without those and many people do choose that route. Just don't take NC2 without talking to an advisor because LPN's may skip that one.

i did right out of LVN school and it was worth it because it was all fresh in my mind.

I have 2 humanities and the information literacy prereqs left. What about you?

I did all my pre-reqs and NC1 & 2 prior to admission to make sure I had more time to get through all the NC exams within a year to avoid another Annual fee. It stretches your ASF date out! I think it's a good idea.
