Anyone take the Health Saftey from Excelsior, need help!

Published

I just started and getting overwhelmed! I'm nervous; I have my test for Health Saftey Saturday. Anyone recently take it that have some tips or advice. I took the microbiology last month; would you say health saftey is harder than micro?

Thank you very much!

Did you take the practice exams? If you did well, then you should be ready.

I read most of the recommended readings and took the practice exams and I got an A.

Good luck! ;)

You have to make sure you have covered the items in the content guide. I too took the practice test and if I made over a 65 then I took the test. You have to prepare for these test because they are not easy. I think health safety is the only test that I looked over the material for about a week and I still passed. If you feel that you have not covered the material, then push the test back. The practice exam will gauge how prepared you are for the test IMO.

You cant really compare micro to health safety, IMO. Two totally different subjects. Are you a LPN? If so, health safety seemed like a huge review from school.

Good Luck!! Keep us posted!

Lisa,

Did you take the exam yet? I'd say it is difficult to compare micro to the nursing concepts exams. Please let me know how you did. I am wondering if its worth using the practice exams that Excelsior provides, since they cost nearly a third of the actual exam.

As an EC grad who took the practice exams for EVERY subject ... they are worth every penny, in my opinion.

I believe you! too bad they're so expensive!

A caveat, though. I would think that you'd start to get a sense of the "flavor" of the questions after taking a couple of the exams, and then write your own. But even so, there's nothing better than getting the info from the "horses mouth."
