Anyone from Savannah I need directions

Hi I need directions to Hutchinson Island Ferry. I will be coming in on I 16 from Macon. All I can find is bells ferry nothing about hutchinson ferry.Thanks

I believe they are both part of the same transit system - is this near River Street?

I think its out toward Skidaway Island if I recall correctly. Try looking for Wassaw or Ossabaw Islands...might be nearby. i'll try to poke around and see if I can find something out for you. Wish I needed directions down there right now!!!I'm missing the Georgia coast BAD

Thanks I don't have a clue what it's near. Actually the directions are for my husband, he drives a truck & has to get on the ferry (Hutchinson) to go over to the island. His person did not call back w/directions & I am sick of seeing him w/the atlas! :rotfl: So I said, I will get directions for you :uhoh21: ...he looked at me like yeah right. Thanks for the effort.

hey crb .... I was a little misguided but I knew I recognized Hutchinson Island from somewhere. It is actually north of Savannah, just over the line in South Carolina near Beaufort. There is a Hutchinson Island state park....you can access its info from the South Carolina State Park website.

US Hwy 17 hugs the coast pretty much and is the main traffic artery through this part of the SE coast. I-95 goes along the same route more or less, sometimes parallel, in a few locations combined, but sometimes i-95 is a good bit inland, as is the case in much of the the Beaufort/Savannah/Charleston area.

It may be that this ferry your hubby needs , then, is just over the line from Savannah. good luck!
