Anyone Only Use Kaplan Qbank and LaCharity PDA and Pass NCLEX??

Published

Has anyone out there passed nclex by just doing Kaplan Q bank and the LaCharity PDA book? I am going through both doing the questions, and reviewing rationales. Anyone do just that and pass NCLEX first try??

BTW my Qbank is 56% and i've done 20% of the questions (but I have been going up in scores!! My first attempt was 49% on 35questions and now I'm at 63% on tests of 35 questions)

This is exactly what I did (I also attended the free ATI live review, but I missed the pharm portion) and I test on Thursday, so I'll let you know!

Glad to hear! I also attended an ATI review. I am going through saunders but only using the red points in the book/charts and tables to review. (I don't have time to study that whole book, too much info)

Also what is your Q bank score like? and good luck thursday!

My school had us do the ATI virtual tutor and green light program, I used the saunder's review book, and did the free q bank questions on the Kaplan app. I haven't received my quick results yet from pearson vue, but my test shut off at 75 with 26 SATA and 3 drag and drop questions. I thought both ATI and the Kaplan questions were both really relatable to boards. The questions on boards were even more simple than I thought the review questions were. Hopefully I actually passed and don't think the questions were easy because I failed miserably at 75 questions. I am sure you will do great! It is all about confidence at this point in our careers.

Thats good to know! I also had to do ati for my school but not a green light program. I hope i dont get so many sata, i suck at them! Out of ten i maybe get 1 or 2 right. I always miss or add 1 extra that is wrong. So frustrating! Id love to know how you wemt through saunders, im losing interest in it but trying to force myself through it lol

SATA are a weakness for me too, but during the test I was happy to see them because it meant I was doing ok. Remember if you are over the passing rate line, then you only need to get every other one right to remain there. I thought the SATA actually were more straight forward than the ones I studied. I still haven't gotten my quick results, though, so I don't even know that I passed haha. I used the Saunders book more back during the last semester of school for a review class to look over areas I struggled in. I actually haven't finished half the book yet, and will probably go back to it as a resource to learn more for my new job. What I liked the most about the book was the rationales it provided for the questions in it. I really like the questions ATI provided and the resource books they provided. The only thing that they lacked was their rationales.

After the first round of all the questions, I had a 63%. Now I'm going back through and answering some of the ones I answered incorrectly. How about you?

Youre doing just fine in the q bank. I did the entire q bank and ended up with a 65% average overall. I did lacharity too. Passed my first time with 86 questions. Just review all rationale!!! My friend a q bank average of 55% and passed first time with 75 questions. You got this!

Well right now I've done 20% and I am at 56%. On my first attempt at 35Qs I got a 49% but I've been doing them everyday and improving!! I just did 2 tests of 35qs yesterday and got 63 on both! I guess I am getting used to the questions now. I think that was my problem, not so much content although I do have my areas I am weak in and will continue to study them. Your score is great from what I've heard from others! Good luck!! You got this tomorrow!

Good Luck!! I hope you passed, it sounds like you did. And I also like ATI, they have really good rationales. I've been studying there too. And Idk, I may give up on saunders, its just too much. I like short and sweet haha not so long and dense. Post here after you get your results!!

Awesome!! Thats great to hear. I was really frustrated at first b/c I was getting lower scores but I see improvements everyday and will continue to study through the Q Bank. I can tell its working for me.
