Anyone in the Monroe area?

Published

Just wondering if there's anyone that lives or/and or works around the monroe area.

I was born and raised in Monroe! I live about 15 minutes East of Monroe now(cheaper houses). I plan on working at Valley General when I finish nursing school!!

I'm working at Regency in Monroe at the moment, waiting until the next NAC training to take, again. I commute from Gold Bar. Such a pretty drive.

I live in Startup! Does Regency offer a CNA course? I am waiting for Marysville Care Center to offer their course again.

They do, but they are paying for it so I think you have to be an employee. The NAC is the CNA, just words switched around. After I get the CNA training I would definitely like to work at Valley General. Marysville is quite a drive it seems. I didn't know Regency did until I talked with some of my co workers. I'm just in housekeeping at the moment.

Me and my folks just recently moved here, so the area is fairly new to us, but we're loving it so far.

Specializes in none yet.

I live in Monroe, I am going to start the next cna course through regency also. I can't wait. I only have one or two more pre-reqs for nursing school. It just depends on my transcript evaluation. I hope to work at valley general eventually also. There is a one year employment contract because regency pays for your classes.

I have an interview scheduled with Valley General. Not seen much on the boards about this one!!!! Anyone want to share any info on this hospital?

I live in Monroe but work in Kirkland. I have friends that work at VG and they seem to love it. Stated that the pay is good, and THEY don't have to commute! Maybe I will talk to HR about a per-diem RN position too ;-)

Hellooooooooooooooooooo Monoroe Nurses! I live in Monroe and commute to Evergreen also! I left Providence Everett after 17 years(and my seniority:( to work at Evergreen. Commute's not bad and the pay is awesome! Anywho, I keep checking for jobs at Monroe Vallely General. I would love to work there! I have a friend who works in the ER and she likes it. I have been a patient there through the ER and had a baby 9 years ago and the care I received was excellent! My Dad was a patient as well on the med/tele unit and after a horrible experience at Prov Everett, he still is talking about the excellent care he received at Monroe! I think the nurses are treated well and are happy which translates into happy patients! LOL!! Let's face it, if we aren't happy in our work place it's hard to be a good nurse at all times.(I have experience in this area) Good luck getting a job at Monroe! Maybe I will bump into you!

Sincerely,

Mindy

Specializes in hospice, corrections.

The men's prison there is always looking for nurses. There are all shifts and different types of nursing. The state pays OK, but the benefits are good. I really like being a corrections nurse.
