Anyone in the Lincoln Tech in Moorestown lpn program start in September?

Published

I start school in Moorestown Sept 24th. :)

I'm probably an older student, 43, compared to most. :o

Anyone else start?

Hello, I guess we will be classmates ill be starting that day also............ I'm so ready! I think ; /

I am ready as I'll ever be

Yeah me too! I've been working as a cna for 3 years, and that's more than enough.........

hey guys im starting then too! im excited, but nervous about all the negative ratings!!

I agree I'm nervous about the reveiews also, but the school is accreditted......... which is good ill do the studying myself I just want to pass the board, its very expensive also, but every school in new jersey has increased their prices, burlington county vo tech increases by 10,000 but they have no students loans or financial aid so I ended up settling for lincoln tech..... maybe we can form a study group or something.... I talk a few of their nursing students also they didn't say anything bad about the program, only that it was very intense as would be expected, I know I talk a lot!

A study group would be great. Right now since I am collecting unemployment, a counselor for the PIC services is trying to deter my decision because of the cost of the school. Voc Tech in Ocean County is under 7 k, but I would have to wait another year before getting in their program, at my age another year makes a difference, besides who knows how long the government will extend my unemployment for, hopefully thru my school year at Voc Tech. I have worked in the medical field for years, but I was office, billing, insurance, collections, court, judgments, etc. Looking forward to a fresh start in nursing hoping will be more of a fullfillment. :p

study group will prob be very useful, i'm sure! i found all that info about the county schools programs' as well but i just didnt want to sit around for a year when i could be already working on my degree. i do know someone in the LT program in edison, and she loves it. granted she "hates" it sometimes bc of her instructor's moods' and the amount of work, but she has no complaints and chose to go to LT instead of sitting on the Brookdale community college wait list which has one of the best nursing programs in the state. oh also on a side note, burlington county vo tech took away their day program last i checked. i was going to try to go there instead of LT but it would have taken 2 years of part time night classes to accomplish what i'll be accomplishing in a year at LT. so, i guess we wait and see...im getting anxious to find out when orientation is. my "advisor" is pretty useless and has made this process way more complicated for me than seems necessary. she will probably tell me the day before orientation that i need to be there!! you guys haven't gotten anything in the mail have you?? i'm currently living in florida for the summer and am coming back to jersey in september for school, so i dont know if anything came in the mail at home :) ps. a little about me-- i'm 23 and originally from north jersey. i'll be living in medford when school starts at my boyfriend's. i graduated from rutgers new brunswick with a degree in psychology and hope to do some psych ward nursing or pediatrics once i get my RN :) (the RN thing was kind of an afterthought. i should have gone to school for my BSN but oh well!!)

--and you think YOU talk alot!!! haha

wow dmc787 wonderful and long response lol............ good for you doing this while your young.. I just did everything the opposite of the traditional way.. :lol2: ok well I was told orientation was a few days before school or maybe the day before, sorry I have a million things going on in my life right now and without actually looking at my schedule I can't recall. I will be in the school next week to finish up my financial aid and I have a few questions about if the cpr is necessary right before starting school I understand some voc techs require you to have that and also I have to get my physical and blah blah blah :p. A psychology degree is very impressive, that is a field that always caught my interest. Dmc787 I am from north jersey too, although most of my life I have lived at the jersey shore, I graduated Harrison High School before you were born.. Lucky for those of you living close to the school as I am traveling an hour everyday. (one way) I don't mind, a year goes very quickly and knowing this is worthwhile is definitely worth it. Look forward to meeting all of you, please be kind since I'm not so young .. :) :jester:

i was told we receive CPR training in the first 2 weeks of school so it is not necessary to pay for training before school starts. would you please let me know if you are told anything different?

thanks!!

I heard the orientation is september 10. I haven't gotten my letter in the mail yet but my friend has so hopefully ill get mine soon

Hello,

I will be starting on Sept. 24th also. I am really excited about starting. I just received a phone call today from the school about orientation on Sept. 10th. I have read many bad reviews about this school but I will not let them stop me from achieving. I know me and what I am capable of to be successful. A study group sounds like a good idea. I also have a long drive to the school but in the end it will be well worth it.
