Anyone who knows anything

ok so I want to go to nursing school in London, doesnt matter why, I already have a bachelors degree, and want a second bachelors in nursing, here in the states I can get it done in two years, sometimes less, and I have read up about enlgish schools and I keep seeing the number three for academic years, and also a degree I cannot translate, I do not know if it is the equivalency of a BSN, is it realistic to get accepted to an english school, study nusing as a second degree, spend around two years there, and get the equivalency of a BSN. Basically my main concern is not to waste any time, and if i can not to waste my time in england instead of here because I really want that experience.

Specializes in Advanced Practice, surgery.

In all UK schools it will take 3 years to complete a nursing qualification. It can be a degree or in some places a diploma level course and you will come out with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and will be accepted on to the Nursing and Midwifery Council's register as a nurse.

If you then wanted to practice in the US you would need to do additional hours as the nursing courses in the UK do not meet the licensing requirements in the US. This is because we specialise into different branches rather than doing generic courses so you will train to be a general nurse, children's nurse, psychiatric nurse or learning disabilities

There is no shorter way to becoming a nurse in the UK

Also as an international student you may well struggle to gain access onto a course, as the places will generally go to UK and EU citizens first because of the way the courses are funded.
