Just wondering how much $$ and what commitment it is to be an AANA member during SRNA school. I'm going to Samuel Merritt, in CA, in the fall (2004). I've sent out e-mails to the school with no reply yet. Anyone out there know about this?
Thanks,

I can only speak for my school, but right after the program started, the director had us fill out some paperwork to become members of the AANA. You are issued your AANA number, which you keep for the rest of your career. I don't remember there being any cost involved. Hope that helps.

I payed $20 for my student AANA membership. I am assuming that is per year, so I expect it to be about $50-60 for the length of the program.

Actually its only $20 for the duration of your enrollment in a anesthesia program.
Thanks for the input about AANA fees everyone. Just trying to get a budget for school.

Does anyone know if you can get into AANA as a student BEFORE your classes begin or do you have to wait and get registered via your school rep??
Kestrel1121,
As far as I know, they do not allow you to sign up with the AANA prior to starting classes. (Just in case you don't show up). We filled out our apps the first day of classes.
You must be enrolled at a school in order to be a student member of the AANA. :)
Hey man,
I sent you a personal e-mail with no reply. let me know your e-mail so we can keep intouch during school. I leave for Samuel Merritt in July. See you later.
