does anyone of you could help me to pass my nclex pn board examination?

Published

I took the nclex-pn for the 4th times in Dec. 28, 2011 & still I didn't pass the nclex-pn board examination:banghead:

I don't know where do i need to start again because I think i'm helpless after the 4th times I tried that nclex-pn examination, I think i really didn't get the rhythm of the nclex-pn test. I used Saunder's 3rd edition, lippincot & nclex cram. I need some advice to all successful nclex-pn takers who took an exam before. I did the PVT trick after 3 days i took the test & it let go to the cc page. I thought the PVT trick didn't work but I'm a believer because i tried the PVT trick & the result speak for my performance in the examination day. I need guys your advice what books or online review course do you recommend to me.:uhoh3:

Take an NCLEX review course. Kaplan has one, I think. It is expensive from what I hear, but it's worth a shot.

Take a course in relaxation and use those tecqniques when you sit for the boards next time.

It would probably be best to take a review. I used saunders nclex book when I studied for my nclex-pn. But the main thing that I used when I took my boards when answering questions was either maslow's hierarchy, nursing process, and abc(airway, breathing, and circulation) when I answered my questions. I hope this will help you.

thank's for all the advice. I hope next time it would be better than before.

What were your grades like in the PN program? How long since you graduated from the PN program? Do you have test anxiety? Its hard to say how to get you to pass, when it seems like you are using the same methods that the rest of us used.

If you grades were low in PN program, it can be a sign that either you have test anxiety or you need to use more test taking strategies for dissecting the questions. Like an above poster stated use the ABC's, Maslow's and priorities ( who would die if I did or didn't do this) Try flashcards.

If it has been a very long time since you graduated consider a refresher course for the PN program.

If you do have test anxiety talk to your PCP and get some medication for before you take the test. It's usually over thinking the questions and stress that get ya!

Try to find an in-person tutor as well. They may be able to tell you just where you are going wrong when it comes to answerinf the questions and why you chose the ones thatyou do.

I got an "A" grade when i graduated in lvn program:nono:. Almost two years ago since i graduated in that program. The only problems I think that my school didn't teach as right because one week before we graduated our school let as took the hesi test compare some other school that in the beginning of their lvn programs, they used to practice the ATI or HESI test. I think that is the reason why our school got 12% passing rate during our batch. Since then our school hired good instructors for their second batch & 3rd batch, they increase their rate into 38%-58%.:yeah:

Just wondering if you found anything that worked for you yet? I am in the same situation and looking for answers as well.
