Anyone goes to NOVA Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale?

Published

I will soon be applying for the nursing program offered at Nova and was wondering if it is a good school and if the classes very difficult? Can anyone share some opinions? I'm super excited to start the application process but I am super nervous to see if i will get excepted or not, is it too hard to get into their program? Any info would be great!!! Thanks! :nurse::D

Hey jackie, I just came about on your thread and i was just accepted to the FALL 2010 Entry level nursing class and i am super excited. Its a great school and they are expanding more than ever.. they have become the 7th largest private school in the nation... so imagine. I have a couple of friends who are already in the program and they love it... the first class is super hard but NOVA they say is one of the hardest but they produce one of the best as well.. so its a give and take... just prepare to PAY because its super expensive!!! I will say that i have gone through ups and downs with their admissions process, its very hard to get into but not impossible. They no longer have interviews its all based on your transcripts, GPA and essay. Especially your science GPA. so keep those up! I hope this information helped... NOVA was my number one choice, i work for a hospital and honestly they have the best of the best you could just see the knowledge through the students and the care... however you need to be persistent with NOVA because they have a very lengthy process for admission. Wish you the best of luck and hope you become a NOVA SHARK soon!!!

Thanks soo much for responding!!! I went today to the school to get info on the whole process and i am super excited and cannot wait to start. The challenging part for me is what to write on the essay but other than that I'm sure I will do fine. I wish they still had the interview but I guess i will just need to make that essay stand out some how!! I'm applying for the Fall term 2011 because i still have all my natural science prerequisites to complete. Well, i wish you much luck in your goals and stay positive!! :yeah::nurse::redbeathe:lol2:

what was yor gpa

Hey Nelflower, I had a 3.3 gpa cumulative and then my science GPA was about a 3.4 i think, they look at your science gpa... I had exactly this. Anatomy 1 took it in the summer B then the lab i had an A.. Micro A, i didnt take the lab, Anatomy 2 and lab both A's. Chem lecture a B and the lab a B as well... for the rest both english i got A's in.... I am not sure if this information helps you any. They are on a system that i cant figure out many of us who have gotten accepted ranged from a 3.0-3.8... I also just got accepted into the Baptist Scholars so i am super excited about that... less financial stuff to worry about... if you have anymore questions just let me know.. goodluck
