Anyone excited?????

I must say, I am extremely nervous right now. I just finished all of my immunizations and will take my CPR class on August 9th. I know, I know, kind of waited till the last minute to take it, but unfortunately with my work schedule, that is the soonest I can take it. I am going to buy my uniforms in a couple weeks and haven't decided yet on how many pairs I should get... Why did you choose four? I also haven't received a book list yet!! What school are you attending and how much did your books cost you, if you don't mind me asking? I think I am most nervous because I will be quitting my job and going to school full time and I'm nervous about paying my bills. But I will find a way!! I am determined! :yeah:

congrats! i know its very nerve-wrecking right now for you but it will go away...we all know it will be worth it at the end:yeah:

anyway, as far as why i got 4 pairs of uniforms is because i know for sure there is 3 or 4 days worth of class a t the school i am attending which is mesa-boswell. i don't do laundry that much so having an extra pair would be a life saver. and that 2 days of those 3 (or 4) dyas are clinicals and im pretty sure we had to wear our scrubs.

And guess what? I am quitting my job too. Just the fact that I want to concentrate on nursing schoola nd do it once ya know? and luckily, my husband was supportive of it. i just feel kinda bad because he'll be the only one working but it'll pay off:nuke:

I am attending Estrella Mountain Community College. Its their first official class at the school. They had a Banner Cohort start their last October, but I am told the processes are different and that is why it is taking a while to get all the information we need for the program, such as the book list.

does estrella have all 4 blocks? cuz i heard that they start from block 3 and u will have priority if u graduated lpn at the skills center...

and our school has a website where they list everything including the book list so i got those early on so i can start reading...

and oh...my books cost more than my actual tuition for those who hasnt found out yet...books cost me over 1000 moolah while my tuition was only 700 something....ouch:smackingf

does estrella have all 4 blocks? cuz i heard that they start from block 3 and u will have priority if u graduated lpn at the skills center...
and our school has a website where they list everything including the book list so i got those early on so i can start reading...

Yes, EMCC is all 4 blocks!! I am so excited because the school is only 10 miles from my house! I really thought I was going to have a long drive to school, but this is awesome!! :bow:

HOLY COW!!!!! :no: Wow, ok my nerves just shot right back up! I really hope they give us the list of books early because from what I can tell they aren't going to give us our list until five days before class starts! :uhoh3:

oh man....when i called them for my trascripts to get transferred to mesa, the lady asked me if i was already in the program...i told her yes and she asked me if i applied at estrella...i said no because i applied at the mesa-boswell and she was like u know you can probably get in here the same time u get in at mesa...i was like well, im for sure ill get in there because im an employee...so she was like ok....but i would have love to go to estrella....:heartbeat i might be closer to the boswell location but i like the campus at estrella...just my like and preference i guess:smilecoffeecup:

well i use to work at boswell for a little over a year but transferred to del webb because of better scheduling....im a sterile processing technician now but come august 2nd, i will be off work and will be just a full time nursing student, mother,and wife:yeah:

hey, you got nay yahoo or msn? i just thought id ask maybe we can chat up on one of those and talk about school and stuff...lol:D
