I did a group interview a few weeks ago, and they called me to come in and shadow an employee. I still haven't done drug test or background check, just wondering how long it takes for them to do the hiring process? I read somewhere it takes two months, is that about normal for most places?
I thought this place had turned me down, so I was shocked to get a call from them.

I just applied to them last night! I wonder if all their facilities require shadowing.
Good luck, let us know how it goes!

Thanks, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. It's a beautiful facility, as are most nursing homes.

When you do a shadow, do you get paid for it? I mean how do we know that's just not a way to get free labor out of someone? (Just a thought)

I worked for them about 6 years ago as a care giver, before I had my CNA certification. I don't quite remember much about the hiring process though. I will say that since then, having worked at many other facilities, Sunrise was by far better than any other nursing home I've worked in.
