I know that in Wisconsin I can have my loans canceled over a 5 year period as long as I remain employed as a Registered Nurse full-time.

I got a federal student loan cancelled for active duty in the military when this was an option. Every so often, a paper was signed by someone certifying that I was on active duty and a portion of the loan was removed.

I called the lender of my Perkins loan and they told me as long as I am a RN with at least 1 year of full time work under my belt, that the loan can be canceled.
