I just thought I'd see if anyone else was enrolled for RSAA's weekend CNA course starting October 18. I'll be starting then and thought that knowing some future classmates would be fun.

I went to the last one (registered for the October one though) Be sure to post back here telling us who your teachers are (you can PM me if you want since I don't think we're supposed to name names) but I'm curious who you'll have and what you'll think!
Best of luck to you!!
Are you curious in a good way, or in a, "Ha ha, you're going to hate it, too!" way?
...you've got me nervous!
What did you think of the program?
LOL, I'm curious in a good way. The program was fine, I just wish we would have spent more time doing skills than going over what was in the book. You may have a different teacher though.
Over all the class is pretty easy. You'll do great!
I'll PM you the teacher's name when I start. I'm getting excited. I wish I could start sooner!

Hi,
I am signed up for the evening class starting 11/10. How were clinicals? I believe you do them at a nursing home in Ft Hills?
I don't know where Ft. Hills is. I guess I'll be finding out soon, huh?
Hey JessLJ,
Fountain Hills is south of Mesa and east of Scottsdale. If you have travelled up to Payson, you have passed by it.

We had a large group so we were split up and went to 3 different places. I was at Mi Casa on Power & Baywood.
Clinicals were ok. MUCH different than what we learned in class but definitely great experience.

What kind of skills were you able to do?
I did a few baths by myself the first day but mostly I did vitals, passed trays, fed a few people, collected trays, helped change a few briefs, changed a very large & vomiting woman's clothes, passed water, changed sheets, brushed teeth.
Saturdays were busy but Sundays were pretty slow.
I'm pretty new to the valley (I moved here about a year ago.) so I'm not too familiar with the area. I'm pretty excited about the class and can't wait to get certified.
How long did it take for you to get your license in the mail and how often does RSAA hold testings?
