I am a RN student who wants to be a future CRNA. I am looking for CVICU or CVRR internships for after graduation to prepare me for CRNA school. Of those of you who have attended these kinds of internships can you please tell me where you worked? Would you recommend it to a new grad RN? I am trying to give myself as many options as possible but I want a solid foundation to start my career as well. Thank you in advance.

Don't get too caught up in getting into a CVICU. Any busy ICU, whether it be CVICU, MICU, or an SICU, you'll be getting exactly what you need for any of the anesthesia programs out there. Vents, invasive lines, and gtt competence is what your after. It's my personal opinion that there is no "best" experience in regards to working in any single unit. Variety and exposure to a wide variety of critically ill patients would be optimum.
Hope this helps....
