Hello fellow future nursesðŸ˜
I recently applied at Rio Hondo Community College and Los Angeles County School of Nursing in hopes to start summer/fall 2016. I'm prepping for Teas and will be taking the exam in 2 weeks... Anyone else prepping, applied to these colleges or have taken the exam?

Well, I recently took the test on 2/9 and scored an 84% overall after studying for 2-3 weeks. Whats your specific question?

HI.
I just got the TEAS study manual today. I plan on starting with it this weekend. But I won't be taking the exam until May. I have not applied to any nursing programs as of yet I need to finish taking my pre-requites. I was going to do LPN which the program was suppose to start in June. But after much thought I think that I should go the RN route. I think that studying for the Teas now since I have the time to get it out of the way would be a wise choice for me. I am hoping to apply to some nursing programs during the application period which is Nov-Feb so hopefully I will be accepted for the Fall 2017.
I wish you all the luck with studying for the exam I am sure that you will do fine. May God Bless you.

Just a little stumbled and overwhelmed over the fact that I have less than 2 weeks to study. I've read several posts/comments of people spending only days studying for the exam and do so well, as yourself. Is it not as difficult as the online ATI assessment exam?

Thanks so much for the kind words and blessings! Very much appreciated and needed.
I believe you are making a wise choice by choosing the RN route. Keep in mind that the Teas V will be transitioning to the Teas VI I believe in September of this year. Not quite sure if the level of difficulty will be increased or not but just thought it'd be good to know. Are you applying anywhere specific?
No it's not as hard as the online exams. I scored significantly better on all 4 sections during the real exam. The practice exams in the back of the book are more like the real exam in terms of hardness

Did you feel as though 2-3 weeks was enough prep time for you, or if you could would you have given yourself more or less time to study?

I am currently studying for the TEASV exam! I just bought a study manual off of Amazon and it includes 2 practice tests. I am applying to the UIW Nursing Program in San Antonio. My advisor suggests a 70- 78 is good? I feel like that is a little low! I hope I can make an A! I'm so nervous!
